Stay Safe for Solo Travelers!

Everyone can fly, but did everyone able to fly alone, especially to woman travelers? Tons of question has been asked, is it safe for woman to travel alone?Aren't they exposed to the dangerous situations like being snatched, robbed or even worse to be murdered or to be raped? Sound scary, huh?No worries, I'll share my tips on travelling to the other part of world and came back with safe and sound!Here we go~~

Before:

1. Research, research, research is must!

Why research?Each countries has its own culture and norms, so it is very important to have knowledge about that to avoid inconveniences occur. Must know what to wear and when to wear. For example when visiting some of the religious place, please make sure your clothes is suitable and not too exposing. It is recommended to wear moderately. Then, search in depth the places you wish to go and find the safest way to go there. Also look for the health issue, because sometimes you are recommended to get an injection before boarding to the less developed countries like Vietnam or Africa.

2. Packing the necessities!

Please ensure you have packing your own travel kits and pepper spray, because it might be your savior during the emergencies situation.

3. Notify!

I know you are crazy enough to travel alone, but please informed at least one person that you are travelling and leave the hotel details and itinerary (stated the places that you will visiting) to her/him. 

During:

Before boarding please do not leave your baggage unattended. You are lucky if you still have your bags together with you, but you might not know that someone has put "drugs" inside your baggage and you might be ended to spent time in prison!Oh no!For a god sake!

When you alone:

1. Keep alert.

Evaluate the situation and know where you are heading to. Pretend you are familiar with that place and find hiding place to read the map carefully.

2. Believe with your intuition.

Intuition always help when you will upcoming with the danger. Stop walking if you have bad feeling about that.

3. Less conversation with people.

I don't ask you to be snobby arrogant, but please choose well who you are going to ask to. For example ask the people who you can rely to such as receptionist in your hotel. Choose well and ask well!Make sure no other people surrounding you, if possible.

4. Be confident!

If you doesn't have idea about the place, just be confident that you are know. Don't let people know you are the tourists!Act like a resident there. 

5. Avoid walking in the dark

Avoid walking during night if possible. Don't walk on the silence road and always walk on the bright area.

6. Beware of pickpockets!

Leave your original passport in the safe box at your room. Bring sufficient money, credit cards and photocopied with you. Don't put all your money in wallet, put in separately in your pockets and shoes. It is good if you have small changes.

7. Don't leave your meal unattended!

Because you are travelling alone, you might not know what will happen to you. Bad people might put something into you meal when is unattended knowing that you are alone. So, wait till the food is serve and finish it and it good to go!
